Carljohnyench
Hi all, Had an awesome day out this morning around north head. Was out by myself in 10-15 knot winds at 6am and had no anchor to keep still so catching live bait was proving to be a little frustrating so I thought I would throw in a couple of x-raps (15 & 20FT divers) and cruise around north head from manly around to the outside and back. Within about 5 Min I hooked up a 52cm salmon only to be followed by another fat 59cm salmon again 3 minutes later! Was having a great time so I thought I would go right round the head towards dee why. On return trawl on the outside of north head, bang, line went buzzing big time! Had an awesome fight on 6-8kg set up for around 15 Min, then there surfaced a beautiful 80cm (exactly) kingy!I was so stoked as this was my first kingy of the season and it was a whopper! I trawled back a few times in hope of another monster but could only manage 2 more rats (52cm & 56cm), which still put up a good and fun fight. All in all, a great morning out! P.s can anyone tell me how to post pics from a mobile?

Carljohnyench
Thanks guys, just had sushimi, tempura and a avocado puree salad. Awesome table fish! The wharf was Canada Bay near five dock. Those x-raps work really well, used two colours and both worked a charm!

I'm surprised you didn't hook up a dolly as they were all over the place on Saturday.

I am just starting out so any tips would be great. Cheers Scott
Carljohnyench
Hi Scott, I have only used them for trawling but this is what they are designed for. Are you planning on trawling?
