quochuy
Just saw an ad on Facebook for Fish Assist, an app that uses the iphone camera to identify and measure a fish. Have anyone tried it yet? Huy
GreyNurse
Waiting for the Android version. There was a similar app launched last year by the government called Tas Fish. Can't find it anywhere now. Figures.
Prawns
I would love somthing like that for android. At the moment I use "fishing mate" which shows photos of the fish next to their names and if you click them, gives rig tips and regulations etc If you catch somthing completely unknown to yourself though, it involves alot of scrolling trying to find a photo which matches the fish though

quochuy
Hmm so far i tested with pictures on my computer: bream, flathead, whiting, mullet and kingfish. It would only recognise the bream and the mullet. It does show a list of other fish and their picture and info. Will try again will real fish. Rah
I have installed this app but yet to set it up and try it out. Will let you know how it goes once it's set up and have caught a fish. Ha. It will be interesting to see how accurate it is. Cheers Rah. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Scratchie
I just bought it. Will let you know if it's worth it. How's the app going mate? Sounds very interesting! Cheers scratchie!!!
quochuy
I don't find it very accurate... To help the app the fish needs to be straight wit fins erected and picture need to be good. Never hot an ID of a flathead. As said earlier you still have access to list of fish with pic and info so not totally useless but not worth the price. More tests needed
