batfishing
So have any of you checked inside your Kayaks? Presume you heard the news, $180k worth of ICE smuggled into Sydney inside 27 Kayaks in a shipping container. Been trying to work out how some of them were making money out of the Chinese Kayaks they are selling, now I Know! arpie
It will definitely be interesting to see which 'brand' were used!!! Pretty sure Hobies are still all made in the US of A! cheers Roberta
GreyNurse
Imagine if they manage to fuse methamphetamine into polyurethane. A UV resistant yak that rides high in the water and doesn't come down for ages! What would that be, then? Polyuromethamphetamide? Easier to ask for a Hobie. rockfisherman
$180,000,000 street value, that's a lot of kayaks. Harry If it's to good to be true, it usually is...

batfishing
$180M / 27kayaks, means each Kayak was worth $6,666,666.67 ! Any one stumping up for one? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
GreyNurse
6,666,666.67. Isn't that the odds for winning Lotto? ....... What am I saying? Gotta stop licking my yak! Coffee, anyone?
Guest Aussie007
thats probably one of many that have made it into the country, i remember watching the custom show 1 in 1500 containers are psychically checked probably more are scanned these days being drug importers making millions from it if not billions
batfishing
I would like to know what else was in that container, if it was just Kayaks, then I think the quantity of only 27 would raise suspicion. By that I mean it would not be a profitable shipment, the cost of the container would add too much per unit. night_rider
Holy crap. I have that exact model yak, colour and all.. The GF and I bought it Xmas 2013 to do some 'couple things' together.. Then I started fishing off it and she lost interest ... Ha. It was an e bay purchase and picked it up from some dodgey backyard out in Western Sydney... In all honesty something didn't seem right.. Brand spanking new shiny garage with extra security to store Yaks... :/ Ours was unfortunately not of Polyuromethamphetamide construction.

Guest no one
Fellas - Your maths is terrible $180k is not $180m. It's $6,666 per kayak not $6.7m per kayak! $180m is probably the current supply of All the ICE in the world! Silly boys!!
