hookerbruce
Been going out over the last few weeks chasing dollies and have gradually been increasing the size of my best fish. Target is to get one over the metre. Went from 70cm to 75cm to 81 cm to 85 cm last wed. Today I thought I had hit the mark, but the lie detector came up at 98cm, so I have to keep going out fishing. I did see a big one about 1.4m, followed up a rainbow runner I was using for live bait. There were plenty out there today but were not biting as well as they have other days. I think they prefer a good current to the south today the current was running to the north.
Devil Ray
I would still be pretty wrapped with a 98cm model
Scratchie
Nice dolly mate! Keep at it and you'll get one! I find the bigger ones are a bit deeper when they are schooling. Livies work best down deep if you can get them past the rats!! Cheers scratchie!!!
hookerbruce
Nearly forgot As we left the dollies couldn't decide whether to have a troll or not. Still thinking about it about 400m away when a marlin freejumped in front of us tore across the surface leaving the water about a dozen times. Decision made. We trolled for about an hour for 1 striped tuna then headed back for Botany Bay. Bruce
