crusher87 Posted March 15, 2014 Share Posted March 15, 2014 Went out wide yesterday past the fad to the shelf and trolled north to almark reef. Didn't get one strike all day apart from a few stripies and dollies. The current was running too hard to hold any fish out wide. Today we went to the gibber but the water was only 20.4 then we went east to the 70 fathom line and tried trolling slimies and skip baits but didn't get any marlin. Picked up more stripies and dollies and the water was around 21.5-22. Was anyone else out? Any reports from the carpark? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Scratchie Posted March 15, 2014 Share Posted March 15, 2014 Port seems to change on a daily basis. Wow, I can't believe the water has changed that much since I was out there a couple of days ago. We were hitting 25.4 in 70 fathoms. Although the current was roaring out the carpark. Try middle grounds between the fad and carpark! Cheers scratchie!!! Aqua Monster Posted March 15, 2014 Share Posted March 15, 2014 G'day mate, we fished the gibber on Thursday and Friday, released a 40kg black on Thursday and a 20kg black on Friday.
