Kirst1583
Hi all, Just after some suggestions on safe locations to go fishing on my own at nite either around Lake Macquarie or central coast please? Preferably with a decent amount of light and other people around so that there's some security at least (or that it at least feels that there is). I'm living near morisset but happy to drive half hr or so.. Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Crossfire63
Theres always plenty of people and light for fishing at The Entrance both Nth and Sth side of the bridge, you could also try the chanel around Swansea
Kirst1583
Thanks.. The entrance was where I was thinking too (after I posted naturally). I might give that a shot as I really struggle with fishing the tides at Swansea
Kirst1583
Apparently the lights at the entrance jetty go out at 10 any other suggestions?
Kirst1583
I could but I dont really feel safe out on my own anyway so thought somewhere well lit would have a greater chance of there being others fishing Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Kirst1583
I should probably add that i'm female.. and a real chicken so that's why I have a concern about safety lol Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
cyber_crimes
Plenty of light from the street lights along the boat shed wall. Gets pretty busy with people there too so you should be safe...ETA: Just don't park or stand under the trees there. Those birds sh!t everywhere lol Edited April 7, 2014 by cyber_crimes

Scratchie
For a 1hour drive, the breakwall at Nelson bay would be a great spot. Very well lit all night, chance of a Jew or king. Plenty of bream and blackfish. Not far from the police station and security patrol the marina all night. Cheers scratchie!!!
