scratchie_junior619
g'day raiders ! this is my first post so any thing wrong with it plz warn me ! headed out This arfternoon hoping to catch a few more flatties to add to the bag with my family. so in goes the petrol and out goes the boat. we arived at our first destination flicking soft plastics. it was a bout 5 min after my first cast and bang I was on everyone on the boat was keen to see wat I had I'm pretty sure we nearly tipped the boat. up comes to the surface a 70cm+ flatty but as soon as it hit the surface I seen his smirk on his face as he spat the hook and away he went . so we pushed on and all's wat we hauled up was a just under sized flatty caught beautifully by my mother. we then thought to change destination and head over to wanda headland. my first cast and bang I was on again and up come a 46 cm flatty and nicely netted by my dad!! we then decided to stay in that position! we ended up catching a few and dropping a few flathead. When we pulled up the third we decided to head off! as dad's walking to get the car I decide to be smart and drop my line at the boat ramp as soon as It hit the floor !! bang !! I was on to a nice 39 cm flatty (haha don't tell me not to fish at the boat ramp dad !) all up it was a great day ! cheers scratchie_junior

Ryder
That's awesome I especially like the smirk on the flatty's face when he spat the hook. Sometimes they look at your boat, and shake their heads like 'No I'm not getting on that boat' Haha Well done
Scratchie
Not a bad first post son!!! Feedback: you failed to say thanks dad for taking me. It was your brothers birthday and he caught some of the fish too. Your sister caught a cracking fish but your brother dropped it. And that your dad LET you kids catch all the fish! But it was a great arvo on the water!!! Cheers scratchie!!!

Scratchie
Thought I put up a photo of the result!!! Pranko crumbed flathead with beer battered chips and appleslaw. All the family hoed it down and there was enough to share with the neighbours! Also a homemade garlic aoli, glass of red and in front of a nice fire! Doesn't get any better than that!!! Cheers scratchie!!!
