Raissis7
Was out at Long Reef on Saturday for the most hectic King session i have ever seen. 20 boats out there, all catching Kings. We landed 4 on our boat, just one under 65cm. Had 2 bust off's as well. We were floating the flash gangs with a small ball sinker and a whole pillie and they were going crazy. There was a commercial fishing crew cleaning them up with a hand line set-up while trolling. Unusual method but very effective. He wasn't mucking around fighting them, just pulling them in one after the other. Have never seen anything like it. So many boats catching legal Kings simultaneously. Our problem was we got there a bit late and only had 30mins of the action. Another guy next to us had told us that they were on hard for 2hrs. Still feel lucky to have got the end of it. I wish i took better photos but when they're on there is no time....

Raissis7
I was heading to a Snapper spot and noticed all the boats concentrated in the one area. Went over for a look and was amazed at seeing so many boats catching them.. Dont have the GPS marks but the best discription is North side of long reef in front of Collaroy. Was drifting from 10m out to 20m then would start again. A lot of the earlier boats were anchored.

Fly fisho at the ramp tipped us off about longy going off at sunrise but we didn't get there till 1030 and shutdown by 11. 30 mins of the hottest king bite i have ever seen! Wish we had listened and got there earlier. That commercial boat was mental and the fly fishos were cleaning up too!

I was there too and noticed that same commercial boat was keeping undersized Kings, do they have a different size and bag limit to us? There were also a couple of other boats bagging rats that looked undersized, marginal call but they certianly weren't measuring them like we were and we threw back Kings which were 10mm under sized but most were around 55cm.
