Sydney shark fishing

Hi all,

I've been reading a lot of posts about catching sharks inside. Can anyone give me any tips? The posts I've been reading all seem to point towards the beginning of the year being the best time to target them.

I have a 4m tinny so i'm limited to fishing inside the harbour, botany bay, the georges, parra river etc..

Any tips or info would be great.

Fish the usual jewfish haunts and deep channels with big oily bloody baits. Use heaps of burley. Bi catch is usually big jewies.

Thanks mate. Do you reckon id be better off fishing up the parra or georges river in the dirtier water?

Not sure if this helps, a few years ago now, I caught a small hammerhead around 95cm,off a 4 metre boat, fishing near cottage point.

A suprising by catch non the less.

Some one got a 150Kg shovelnose in the georges 4 or 5 years ago...towed their kayak like a waterski for a few KM
