Fab1 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Just a question to you all, Why do people continue to think that dunking a trailer in saltwater, leaving it baking all day( especially in summer) covered in dry salt while there out fishing, think that washing it down when back home think it won't corrode? Why not cap the end of the rails, lead fill any drainage holes, fit winscreen washer pump and bottle to front of trailer with tubing/sprayers running on the outside of trailer and wiring routed through trailer lights to a switch on vechicles dash. No water entry into trailer and saltwater rinsed of the outside. Am I the only one that thinks like this? Prevention is always better than cure. Thanks for reading. squidboy Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I think that's what the new aluminum I-beam trailers try to achieve. Although the bolt on bits are made out of galvanize, they are pretty easy to wash and change
