Kingfish1999
Hi all, got a pack of zman 2 inch and 1/40th hidden weight tt jig heads yesterday. I tested them in the pool today and wasn't happy. They were rigged dead straight and when I was slow rolling it would just spin in barrels. Has any one had the same problem or know how to fix it? And help will be appreciated. Cheers ethan Edited July 21, 2014 by Ethan13
nbdshroom
I suspect that the natural buoyancy of the elaztech counteracts the weight of jighead. So instead of being pulled through the water, the water is instead moving around the lure if I'm making any sense. Normally, Zmans need to be rigged on slightly heavier jigheads to counteract this. At least for the 2.5" ones, a weight of no less than 1/24oz is needed to make the tail flutter on free fall.
Sydneyfisher12
I find that even on 1/12 jig heads on the drop with 2inch grubs the don't work they a heavier head
Kingfish1999
I'm using them in less than a metre of water so I don't really want to go any heavier. Is there any that are a tad heavier than the 1/40th or are there any secrets to fixing it. My 2 and a half inch grubs work fine but there are on 1/12th
