Scent Blazer Lures
Did a combo for a change, did a couple of drops over Browns first. We got a Red Rock Cod and a Belt Fish, looks like hairtail. Are they any good to eat? We had a monster fish on the last drop but it busted us off about half way up.Heard a few small YFT and Albacore caught on the radio NE of Browns. A couple of boats radioed and said they caught them jigging. Water over Browns was green so we fanged it NE and found a temp break and better water about 6NM from the mountain. Chucked the lures in there and got an Albacore almost straight away. We hooked a 2nd while pulling in the first, it took a sinking lure. Got another on the lure behind the camera. Trolled for a little while longer and headed back, had way more than enough fish on-board.Biggest around 20lb.Video:http://www.scentblazer.com/PhotosandVideos/VideoGallery/OtherVideos/AlbacoreTuna.aspx Edited September 7, 2014 by Scent Blazer Lures

stickybeak
Also named ribbon fish ( lepidopus caudatus ) Not good eating and most full of worms. They are spawning at the moment with the gem fish in winter on the mountain . Good albeys and like the under water photo Behind the lure with his wings out great shot Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

batfishing
Good day, the sea looks like it was kind as well, which is interesting we flew in from Brisbane yesterday afternoon, and circled out pat Browns, we were looking out for signs of boats etc. It looked lumpy from the air Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
thefisherman6784
There some great albies and sounds like a great day on the water That belt fish looks a lot like a hairtail but if the belt fish is full of worms, I guess they don't taste like hairtail Cheers thefisherman6784 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

your fired
Actually no! The belt fish referred to here is a frostfish I believe, they are almost identical to a hairtail with the only difference being the Frost fish has a small fork at the end of it's tail where as the Hairtail does not.
