Annandale hot bream session

G'day raiders today I had a hot session in Rozelle bay in the canal there in Annandale.

I arrived at 1:30 and started fishing unweighted bread off the pontoon near the car park there were a lot of small bream and mullet but I didn't hook up I then changed to a zman 3inch minnow in opening night but got nothing

I made my way to the canal were I caught my bream last time first cast on the crabby and I'm on it went 25cm and I saw the hit too

I started fishing bread with two small split shots and I got one 20cm bream and then a 25 and 26

There was a lot of mullet around and soon I was on to one it went 35cm and was a great fight

I then was really surprised to catch a blackfish at 20cm in a canal on bread and another small bream

Then I saw a small tender with a 2hp on the back coming up the canal I couldn't believe my eyes I though it would scare all the fish away but no it must of stirred up the bottom about 2 seconds after it passed u was on and it was massive busted me off though think it was a 40cm+ bream

Anyway the boat came back down the canal and I was on again this time on a nice 30cm fish

it came back up again and we had a talk about the canal being too shallow and he said it's not too shallow the tide was really high though after he left I was on again and I had a lot of people watching me on this one it went 27cm

After that the bite slowed I got about 10 bream under 20cm and then one at about 22cm

I tried a atomic and a crabby but got none I tied on a gomoku popper and moved to the mouth of the canal were I got a little tailor but the hit was awesome.

It was a great day out with a lot of massive hits and misses and many small fish caught and some nice ones too

Wow, what a great session, and great variety.

It's amazing how productive the canals are.

I bet the crowd was amazed as well. Haha

That's awesome mate well done, I'll have to give the canal another go when I'm next at rozelle! Definitely a high tide only option from what I've seen. Wicked haul there mate. You still on holidays? Gonna get out in the arvo this week now that it'd glorious daylight savings

No mate didn't I really didn't need it I least have a good spot if I want to get some.

the canal is great but both times I've fished it the tide was really high this time it was overflowing it was so high

Unfortunately I have to go back to school tomorrow so I can only go fishing on weekends
