Robofish
Hi Raiders, On my favourite overhead jigging stick the reel seat has come loose and started to spin. Is there a way if securing it again without having to take the whole of the handle off? Dave
abyss
Rough up both surfaces as best you can and apply 24hr Araldite to glue it together. Use tape to hold it in place overnight.
JimT
when mixing your Araldite do it on a warm surface so that glue is "runny" and pour around the blank so it gets deep down inside the reel seat. keep turning the rod so glue is evenly applied as best possible. Suggestion for a warm surface is a shiny wall/floor tile which has been soaking in hot water for a while. This will hold the heat while you are working the glue... Jim... martymonsta
Just out of curiosity, it's not a Silstar Crystal Blue by any chance? This happened to one of mine a few years back and have heard it happening to others as well. Marty
