antonywardle
Hi I was looking at my boat rego papers the other day and noticed that my outboard is listed on it. If I change the outboard, am I supposed to update the rego too? Is there a cost? Anything happens if I don't? Just curious
fredflathead
When you change motors the paper has to be changed as well. I have done this for the last 2 motors a 90hp then 115hp and now my new 90hp.

Zacnoel
Hi Anthony Below is a link to a form available from the RMS. For an engine detail change the form can be mailed or faxed to the attached numbers. As such I don't believe there is a charge Cheers Leon http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/about/forms/45071760-adjustment-to-records-maritime.pdf
daniel944
My Boat is listed as having a Dihatsu outboard, have informed RMS 3 times and have now given up!
antonywardle
thanks for that. Is it a requirement though to update it? I'll ask when I go in today cheers antony
antonywardle
I went in, and the very nice lady there said yes I have to do it so I'll updated my details when i'm next in. I could have done it at the time, but for reasons unknown to me, I registered the boat in my wifes name.

Commodore
Having done it recently there is no charge. It is mandatory to do it but I found the new RMS people had some difficulty in doing it as the old Marine Dept. computer program has not been updated into the main RMS system and the RMS staff are not used to it.
