rockfisherman
Hi raiders I'm looking for any information I can get in regards to cod. Which type of cod? I'm not entirely sure. I'll be going hunting in Mudgee in a couple weeks, and the farmer tells me his water system is loaded with cod. So based on the location, what kind of cod is he talking about? And which fresh baits and lures are the go?? Cheers, Harry.

Guest
Murray Cod and spinnerbaits are tops
big Neil
Yep that would be Murray Cod. Spinnerbaits and big hard bodied lures (15cm+) are good. If there's a flow in the water bait fishing with worms or cubed cheese work well. Good luck.
rockfisherman
Thanks for your reply guys... I have 2 more questions.. Which outfit should I take with me? Are they good on the tooth?
Katoe
Which outfits do you have that can throw the lures effectively? They are one of the best fresh water eating fish. The only one better I'd say would be yellow belly which you stand a good chance of catching with spinnerbaits aswell. If you take some meat from your hunt liver etc and add soap you might catch shrimp aswell they are a gun yellow belly bait. Might be to cold for the shrimp not 100% on them.
