Hooked-Up
Hi all, Im heading down to JB for the first time with the boat and am getting confused with all the different zones they have there. Can i fish in commonwealth waters? Can i fish in Habitat protection zones? I know i cant fish in sanctuary zones but am unsure of the others. Thanks and hoping for some info. Cheers. Lee. Swifty13
you cant fish anywhere that its pink! Make sure you pick up a map available at most fishing shops and such down there! There is a Key on the side of the map that shows what activities are allowed in what areas, but basically stay out of the pink. More Info http://www.mpa.nsw.gov.au/jbmp-overview-7.html There is an area in the commenwealth area close to Creswell that you are not allowed to go (Dark Blue) Link to MPA Map http://www.mpa.nsw.gov.au/pdf/JBMP-User-Guide-August-2014.pdf As for the Booradee Waters, Bag limits on fish and squid species are differant in these waters http://laptop.deh.gov.au/parks/booderee/explore/fishing-boating.html EDITS! I think ive covered it all now! Edited July 12, 2015 by Swifty13

Welster
Also if you have an iPhone and I guess android you can download "Avenza PDF maps." from the App Store. Then in the map store within the app download the JB marine park it's a free map. Its a new app to me but I'm pretty sure it will show your location on the map.
