Pirates cove Scott's head?

Just checked into a place overlooking pirate cove at Scott's head.

Beach fishing gear just unpacked, anyone fished pirates cove?

I hear rock fishing is great, not really keen to try my first rock fishing experience up here though.

Any idea what can be caught off the long beach running up to Nambucca?

Only just saw your post. yes it is God's country. I grew up on the Nambucca in the 50's and 60's and used to holiday each xmas at Scotts most of my fishing was offshore with my father although I did a little beach fishing for bream and flathead and caught more than my share of shovel nose and rays. Elephant head and the other headlands were also good spots to dive for crays. If your still up there don't forget to stock up with supplies from Scotts bottle shop and say hello to the lovely Karen.
