pistolpete33
Hey Stephen. I've spent quite a bit of time up at Port but unfortunately can't help you with blackfish. Best advice would be to drop into the tackleworld shop on the main drag as you come into town and ask Chris. You can get nippers from the flats next to Settlement City. Drive around to the shopping centre and directly opposite Panthers (just before the bridge) there's a walking track to the sand flats. I've attached a mud map which may help. If you're looking for other spots to go with the tinny just drop me a PM. Enjoy Port! Cheers Pete img-151015093131.pdf
bluefin
I have driven further along that road past the punt to the picnic area and walked across to the other side of the backwater for yabbies. Take a walk along the breakwall there are often locals fishing there! if you like lure fishing, look up the local charter company that specialises in it! the local tackle shops also have Beach Worms. Camo1808
Gday steve. I am always at port as my cousin lives there. Have never fished for luderick though. However i am constantly seeing people bag out on them. My cousin works at the rydges hotel and were always sitting on the back deck there having a beer. It over looks a big jetty there and not sure on tides they fish but have witnessed over 300 fish caughy there in the last 12 months. Seems to be a productive spot as has lots of structure and a good current. I will upload a pic of where i am talking about. luderick -angler
If you go to port you have the south wall you can fish the bend on the town wall gets crowded or up near the old porpoise pool outlet otherwise the. Roth wall at the tide gauge fires if you got the tinny I recommend going up lime burners creek up the very back there is a spot called Tom dicks hole otherwise the bank on the road bridge on the run in fires you'll know they are on as the walls will be inundated with locals may be a bit late for them now in the river but can't hurt trying other options are Camden haven and the bridge at lake Cathie
