locodave Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Hey guys, Thinking of doing NYE in harbour. Roseville boat ramp: how busy is that on NYE? Say around 9pm? Meadowbank: further journey but hoping it is a little more quite? Thanks.
batfishing Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Why would you be at the ramp at 9pm? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
locodave Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Because im only interested in the midnight fireworks. Hoping 9pm might be a bit clear!
batfishing Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 All ramps will be chaotic Also need to check the RMS site for the timings when the channels are closed And realise you will be trying to get into crowded locations in the dark Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
bessell1955 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm with Ian. I would leave before 6pm , with the advantage of daylight. All locations will be super crowded
daniel944 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I know this advise is a bit late, but when I lived in Lidcombe we used to go to the Silverwater ramp, never had to wait always got a park
locodave Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 I always think that is the one to go to!
jeffb5.8 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I know this advise is a bit late, but when I lived in Lidcombe we used to go to the Silverwater ramp, never had to wait always got a park The issue with Silverwater is the Pontoon doesnt float and is super slippery at low tide, Trailers have gone missing from the car-park and car been damaged, (Happened to a mate) and the wash from the river cats can make it painful to launch and retrieve your boat. Upside is plenty of parking
