Dhutchy
Okay Raiders, if I am going to replace my dual batteries, can you advise what type and size I should get for each, should they both be the same, or what? Many thanks Dhutchy
antonywardle
one starting battery for the motor and one deep cycle battery for the toys Starting battery look for the CCA number, depending on your outboard, CCA650 or bigger at a guess The Deep cycle battery is in Amps hours so something like a 100 or a 120. They can be the same size physically. I think I ended up with the N70 size as that is what is in my Prado. No reason for doing that, although from memory, they matched up with the price point I had in mind. You probably won't get much change out of $350 for the pair, depending on the brand. Century make a range of marine batteries. I went with a 4WD one for mine. They are a bit cheaper and are also like to survive a pounding. AFAIK, its the banging up and down when you are travelling that shortens their life. I think that the site sponsor sell batteries too good luck, let us know how you get on
