Fab1
When out fishing the hacking this morning and heading back to the ramp after our trip,we followed a chap in his 10ft dingy back to the ramp. When I got the trailer backed down the ramp to retrieve my boat, this chap was driving out with his boat on the back of his aluminium trayed ute. I managed to have a good look and noticed he had a winch bolted to the headboard on his tray with aluminium rails that acted like skids and he simply winched his boat up the back of his ute piggy backing his boat home and his small outboard removed and tucked beside the boat in the tray. I guess he saves rego and trailer cost/maintenance.
Overdraft
True, he does save an a rego but he effectively puts salt water on his ute. Think I'd prefer to pay the rego

Jocler
You will probably find that he also has a campervan/caravan. This way he can take both away whilst camping. J
