slayer666
What's the best for a trailer that will be carrying and 5.2m Formosa boat. Are sliders the way to go or go with the rollers? Is there any difference in them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NaClH2OK9
Rollers tend to be for glass boats. Skids for alloy as you dont want the pressure points of rollers on an alloy hull. But thats only what ive read Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk Edited March 9, 2016 by NaClH2OK9
darynxbcoupe
I have a Formosa 580 in the tomahawk range, the trailer has rollers. Best trailer I have had. I heard from the dealer that the " classic" range needs to be skid as they are not high tensile alloy as the " tomahawk " range is high tensile alloy and can go on rollers
BWV
Check with the boat manufacturer, they will specify either roller or bunks and if you use the wrong one you will loose any hull warranty. They may say it doesn't matter. Rollers for GRP boats and bunks for alloy is BS, but loading points are critical.
