foulhooked
I've noticed a rise in the popularity of soft vibes being used to target jewfish, especially in the Sydney area. Im guessing it's the vibration the lure gives off that may make it more effective than say your standard soft plastic (even paddle tails). Some people may disagree and say SP's are more effective but a lot of people I have spoken to recently seem to believe these soft vibes are the bees knees. So I was wondering if maybe chatterbaits, like the ones predominately used for murray cod would be effective? Has anyone tried these before specifically to target mulloway? foulhooked
just found this after i posted... http://www.fishingmonthly.net.au/Articles/Display/9817-Take-a-harder-line i guess it has been done before. Would still like to hear peoples experiences though. Cheers
big Neil
I use them for Murray Cod and in my opinion they would (most likely) work for other species. Fish detect movement via their lateral line, even in discoloured water...and will respond accordingly. I've never targeted Jewies. Beats me why somebody doesn't try it. May get a pleasant surprise.
