Day's Fishin
I decided to swap trailers for the tinny. I didn't know how bad the trailer was until the war wagon was off it and we turned her upside down, I knew she had a bit of rust in the tail but one good hit and the last cross member nearly disintergrated near the weld, as this section takes all the weight of the motor , fuel tanks, batteries etc, We were lucky we took her off when we did! Greyfox
Nothing like a bit of salt water to start the rust happening. Glad you caught it when you did, it would have been a mess going down the freeway when she fell apart.
squidboy
Spray it with penotril, you will never see rust again
Guest Guest123456789
Good to hear you got your boat off In time, just imagine a failure doing 100kms on the freeway! I just found out new Telwater trailers are as of now all aluminium, no more galvanised. Apparently testing in their labs showed the new designs and Alloy are as strong as Gal with the anti corrosion benefits. One less thing to worry about!
