joking fish
It's been a while since I last posted but today was something special. With recent solid hauls of fish I have scored over the last few months including 5 legal Trevally at Palm Beach a few days ago and a bag of 4 solid Salmon I landed about a month ago the time has come to bite the bullet and post. Today I rocked up to my faithful haunt at about 1.30 pm. The tide was high and with some frozen pillows in my arsenal I began to test the waters. Things started off with just pickers but around 25 minutes into my 2 hour session I landed a whopping 62 cm Salmon. Shortly after I landed a 49 cm Salmon. It was turning out to be a great day. Then something suprisingly wonderful happened I hooked up to a fish with big head shakes. It turned out to be a 33 cm Snapper. Needless to say I was stoked. It was the first legal Snapper I have landed at Bayview and although not massive it is the biggest I have landed inside the heads. In the next hour I landed a 41 cm Trevally, a 31 cm Trevally and a crab. The Big Salmon, the Snapper and the crab I kept for dinner and the rest of the fish were released to grow bigger. It was a bountiful little land based session in Pittwater on a magical Spring Day. Edited September 9, 2016 by barcod86
