Best to try and release them in the water, I pulled a big one out from Narrabeen for a photo before they were protected, unfortunatly it didn't survived being dragged up the beach, as it washed back onto the shore later that night. Yes he was a very strong fish and he put up a great fight! we took a couple of quick snaps then we took him back to the water and put him in head first and held him from the end of the tail and we moved him in a backward and forward motion for over a minute then we let him go , and he kicked his tail and dissapeered!! i was a very happy man!!!!
