  5. Great report mate! Lets just hope the sun becomes a frequent visitor on the weekends especially with summer coming!!!
  6. Would not even place a toe in manly lagoon with all the bacteria in that junk yard. Its full of trolleys, bags of rubbish and whatever people feel like throwing in there.
  7. Get a big fish on the end of the rod and that ell sure fix it!!!
  8. I use chicken pellets, big splashes of tuna oil, left over bait e.g. Prawns, Pilchards, Mullet, water, carcass of fish. Mix em all together, place in a berley bucket or onion bag and your sure to get some nice fish!
  9. Mate it sounded like an epic adventure with a lot of determination involved. I just hope you didn't get a little bit hungry because i would have been dying for Maccas as soon as i hit the water!!!

  11. I bet it put up a decent fight
  12. Mate, head down to Clontarf beach around the pool and east end of the beach and the squid are plentiful. Around dusk the squid are in large quantities and with the use of a torch or fluorescent squid jig your sure to catch a bag full.
  13. Close to everything in the Oxford Dictionary seems to be racist or sexist these days and people are taking offence to the stupidest things and hitting the media up with stories like the one attached below! http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/central-coast/women-hit-out-at-austrian-schnitzelhaus-sexist-menu-advertising/news-story/5e7758b3858bbcbb0e34023796160553

  18. I say a Red Holden Commodore V8 so he can go racing around the streets doing burn outs and impressing the GF
  19. I didn't realize that spot was so productive especially with a 46cm whiting on a popper! And yes it was an amazing holiday great to get a way from the city for a while
  20. G'day raiders, Coming to the end of my annual family holiday on the Mid North Coast, i decided to go for one last fishing session in Lake Cathie, south of port Macquarie. Set up shop on the west side of the bridge on the Northern banks and found a nice gutter past the sand flat drop-off. Fishing on light gear and prawns i began my quest targeting Flathead with ideal conditions ( outgoing tide and no WIND!) but to no success. After what seemed like 100 casts with no bites, all i got was an oyster cut and a stick through the bottom of my foot which sent me on the verge of rage. With the tide running out fast and the current moving ruthlessly, i noticed a school of baby whiting stalking the flats which gave me a glimmer of hope. After another disappointing 1/2 hr i got my first bite which made my head spin as a grin broke across my face. I played the bites smoothly before i felt weight on my line in which i began to slowly wind. After a VERY easy fight i found the culprit, a nice but small whiting. It measured 28.5cm and enjoyed slapping my kidneys a quite a few times. I released him back to join the other bait pickers and live another day. After a few more casts i decided to call it a day. Although it was a pretty disappointing day not catching my beloved Flathead's and putting up with painful feet ( Bloody oysters and sticks), it ended up being a good day outdoors in the sunshine which i believe it's all about.
  21. Great catch, what kind of gear were you fishing with?
