Pelagics still around?

They are always around summer and winter.

Fish at 1st light till it gets too sunny,say 9am,unless overcast or rainy then fish as long as you want.

 Best around, 2 hours before or 2 hours after high tide at 1st light or late hour or 2 before sunset and there is supposed to be a non active feeding period for fish the 1 hour during dead high or low  tide then activity picks up again once the tide starts to move in or out again, for all fish (beleive it or not ) :) Well minimum activity. They go with the flow :D

Just for encouragement go to You Tube and put in the search for, man hooks 230 LB world record, yellow fin tuna off rocks.

It will get you keen as mustard.

I did have a fish last Sunday morning from 6pm - 10am on the spin gear for donuts on the northern beaches. Spun from the rocks. The last 2 sessions haven't had any luck on the Pelagics . That time of year with the transition of water i guess.

The action looks like it is further north.
