Gps epirb

I bought a SA1G, was the cheapest with gps at the time. Reading online seemed positive feedback at the time. I also assume there are some Australian safety standards out there that they have to meet.

the most advertised brand has had recalls - take that for what it is good or bad. Just in case - don’t mistake a personal location beacon for an epirb. Also, as the battery has a finite life, you want to buy from somewhere with fresh stock, not one sitting on a shelf for the last few years.

Pros with the SA1G

- I haven’t drowned since having it

- I haven’t had to use it.

Cons

- only caught a rat king last time I was out, I have to blame something apart from myself.
