Hawkesbury river trip

Hey fellas,

i finally got my own boat and was keen to head back to the Hawkesbury next week to hopefully catch a few Jews. 

I’ve only ever fished it with soft plastics before and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for where to catch some bait? After yakkas or squid, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mitch. Don't know what part of the river you intend to try ( it's a long river ) but Juno point is popular for Jews and Americas bay is not far from it, up the end of the bay, use berley and be patient. At the other end Spencer is also good for both livies and Jews although Squid may be hard to get here.

Thanks guys, I should have been more specific. I’ll be launching at Mooney Mooney or Brooklyn and be fishing around the Juno point - flint and steel area

In that case, I’d try West Head for yakkas/slimies and squid. Might get a kingy there too. 😉

Western side of Pittwater the beach’s like mackerel, coasters etc have squid & yakkas if you burley or the western side of palm beach in Pittwater for squid on the weed beds
