Fresh Bait

Hey Raiders..

Lately I have been going out in broken bay and picking up the mandatory block of pilchards from the servo on the way out just in case I cant get any livies (I trundle down Ryde/mona vale road and launch at Bayview)

Normally the only guys open are the Servo's and their bait has been woeful (Mushy rubbish)

does anyone know anywhere in this region (North Ryde --> Bayview) that is open late or early that does sell quality bait.. or is there somewhere I should go to stock up? (I have heard of a good place up near Peats ridge but not 100% sure where it is

I guess I could always just get better at catching squid..

i don't know if this is out of your way but there is a tackle shop at Narrabeen (Narrabeen Bait & Tackle)which sells fresh bait and it opens at 5am on weekends. If you're coming from Ryde head down the Wakehurst parkway and its on your left just after the first set of lights. If you see the Quix servo you've gone too far. Prices are pretty good as well as the guys who run it. Hope this helps.
