Rookie fisherman 101
Hi guys. Found a silstar tn34 in a deceased estate next door with some other fishing gear. Just wondering if anyone had any info on it can't find anything online. Are they a good reel worth keeping seems relatively old but in ok condition. kingie chaser
Its unusual to come up zero on google for anything but I cant find anything on it either Leads me to believe it would be a very cheap/early reel, but if it works then use it. Obviously no idea about specs like drag rate etc. May have been produced under another brand & rebadged? Rookie fisherman 101
Reel seems solid and in good Nick. Is stamped made in japan so I assume it couldn't be too bad.
kingfishbig
Here's one, a TN 35. I assume it's the same model but different size. Only a 3 to one ratio, so not much good for spinning. Has a plastic spool which is a bit unusual. You might want to put some backing on first to protect from line stretch. https://classifieds.fishingkaki.com/reels_1/silstar-tn35-casting-and-trolling-on-reservation_i21159
Rookie fisherman 101
This one seems to have a metal spool. The one you listen said made in Korea this has made in Japan. Rod it is attached to seems cheap.

kingie chaser
It should still catch fish so if you bought it all for a reasonable price it won't take long to recoup your money.
Rookie fisherman 101
Got it for free so no ccomplaints here
frankS
Unless you have the reel mounted back to front it is a left hand wind which is unusual. A few on here probably would be interested in buying it for the right price. Frank
