Beau_dougie
Gday guys and girls, taking the missus out on tuesday for her birthday. Gonna drop the boat in at Berowra and drop some crab pots out on the way out to broken bay, I haven’t really fished out there before and was wondering where there might be some spots to grab some yakkas or squid to throw out as live bait? Any tips would be appreciated! cheers! 👍🏼

As @blaxland says, outside or around barrenjoey point is live bait area, but watch the swell and wind. I dont know of any squid areas as well, as the trawlers usually get them all during the week. Just buy fresh squid from a bait shop, not a shop, a privately owned one is better I live in Pitt town, It’s easier for me just to go to Berowra and poke around there in the boat rather than driving all the way into the city to launch. I’ve had some good luck with crabs around Berowra as well.
