3 Fish to id (Onespot Puller, Ling,Blackbanded Sea Perch)

Gday Raiders,

caught 3 fish today that I haven’t caught before

Who can name all three?

second one I’m thinking is a large tooth beardie.

My guess would be the

First one is a Onespot Puller Chromis hypsilepis

Second is a Ling  as Noelm said or another name is (Largetooth Beardie)

Third is a Blackbanded Seaperch. Hypoplectrodes annulatus

First one is a kind of Damsel, very common, has lots of common names, second one is a Rock Ling, third one we call a "Footballer" I will look up their proper names later when I get a chance, all very common fish.

it’s interesting to me the amount of different species of fish you can catch on a reef. Love it when something comes up that I’ve never caught before.

poor third fish suffered severe barotrauma, think the second one had some effects too.

Those "footballers" always come up like that, even in very shallow water, they bite hard and you think you have something huge....until!
