Looking for someone to teach me to fish better

Hey guys , 

So I started fishing a few years ago and to this day I've only ever caught catties , bream,tiny tailors and a puffer fish.

Can someone teach me how to fish.

I'm based in logan qld but willing to travel.

I have a basic set up consisting of a cheap fish quest rod and reel running 15lbs braid.

Have assorted tackle and some plastics and lures.

If you can help me learn that would be great.

If you have  aboat and can help me learn that would ve even better( happy to help pay fuel)
