Huskinson

Looking to go into Huskinson tomorrow for a fish leaving from boat ramp up the creek. Can anyone please tell me if there is a bar to cross to get into the bay as it looks fairly shallow just in front of the Huskinson pub where you cross into the bay. Thanks

Long time since I was there but there should be no problem getting from Currambene Creek into the bay. The creek fishes really well for Flathead, casting soft plastics ahead as the tide comes in. I used to do this and then troll diving lures on return to the start point. Anyway that's not what you asked. Good luck with the fishing. bn

There is not a "bar" as such, very little swell gets into the bay, but the entrance can get a little bit "sloppy" in strong wind against the outgoing tide, but nothing too bad.

Crossing the entrance from the creek into the bay won’t be a problem regarding depth. Just keep well away from the sand spit and the reef just out from the entrance on the left (port) and you’ll be fine.
