Hey Blax,  While not owning an Orvis myself, I can do know of friends State side that fish with them. They are a US made Fly reel. of reasonable quality, I would call them mid range pricing. I do not know the year or model type you have shown, maybe some investigation into it may reveal things.

But I would clean it down and use it if you do Fly fish. I have old Olympic fly reels and a few no namers which all have been pretty well used. My oldest Olympic fly reel would be at least 45 years old, no collectors value, but I have never felt the need to venture into the top end of Fly reels, which can become extremely expensive.

There's a couple of reel collectors pages on Facebook that you could ask the question if you desire, but I think you will find they were never top end reels, just US quality made, that did there Job...   I luv old reels, collectible or not.
