mrsswordfisherman
from Facebook site NSW Central Coat News MAJOR OUTAGE It appears that widely used software from Crowdstrike is causing major issues in businesses across the globe at the moment. It's likely this will take some time to resolve fully. CUSTOMERS AFFECTED Reports of Foxtel, Woolworths and BWS currently being affected. Further update: Now getting reports some Coles and Aldi stores are affected as well. There’s reports of other companies and banks, ABC, SBS, Qantas, Microsoft, etc. But a bit variable at this stage who exactly is affected. Other companies can be also impacted as well as this is a global issue. Update: NSW Police Force are also aware of this outage but are not affected. Any life threatening situations you can still access the 000 emergency services. It's best to assume that most services are going to be rebooted in some manner in the coming hours. Take care with any critical work if you're operating with this software and consider waiting until things settle down. You may see the BSOD blue screen of death. EDIT: Then again, the same source says https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/crowdstrike-update-crashes-windows-systems-causes-outages-worldwide/ It's chaos out there! It makes you glad to be retired. Edited July 19 by Steve0
james Cutler
Had to go shopping. Glad I had some cash. What is cash? Cash was invented before computers. Comes in handy sometimes.
