  3. yea i usually go up to sussex inlet every year, at this time last yea, the Tailor were chopping like crazy, within 10 minutes of fishing we had 6 fish or so, with metal lures. thats what i got around this time last year, and 1 big bream that cut me off on the oysters, but yea. Tailor is the main fish at sussex at this times, didnt go into the basin at that time. But i went to the Alemien Resort thingo or what ever, and we also reeled in one whopper of a lizard at 75CM on a plastic, but that one was pretty much luck i say but yea, gl.

  5. found this on a website. The smallest marlin i've ever seen in my life, it shocked me to see that how small they actually are and how big they can get.
  6. Haha, good on ya and thanks for the info mate, sure hope to go up some time this week or the next and get some myself Much appreciated. -Luke1
  7. If you want some rods, you can get some cheap ones at your shopping centres. I got both mine in a bundle, like a rod, reel as well as a line, but you want to be more serious get some bait caster reels, though they cost quite a bit, but you want some casual beach fishing, just go to some shops and get a bundle for around 50-100 dollars, and you have everything you need. -Luke1
  8. Thanks mate, ill try that when i go out fishing next.
  9. Hey Raiders. Im a bit keen on going fishing on my school holidays, because im only in highschool, but i'd love to go do some Beach Fishing, and would love to have a guarantee catch, no mater what it is. I just wanna know some good spots or places close to your "Secret Spots" to go for some beach fishing that are around the Sydney area. And also to know what sort of rigs and what not to use. Thanks. -Luke1

  13. Going up to Lithgow for a try of some Fresh Water fishing. Im gonna bring a fly reel just incase, though i have no experience in Fly Fishing. So if im not too good, im just gonna use my fly rod and just get some fly lures. Also wondering if anyone has been there in the past month or so, if its been going good for trout and what ever fresh water species are in this place. Last year i went to Lithgow they where going off, but just wanna know about this year. Thanks. -Luke
  14. Well firstly went up to hawkesbury just Yesterday, 28/2/09 and was a great days fishing. We were around lion island and just drifted around for fish, and got some good ones. We got 3 sharks, on Dead Yellowtail. we threw the sharks back ofcourse. We had one 60cm+ flattie, that got away on the top of the surface but we ended up regaining that with a 55cm one. along with 2 45cm and some 37cm flatties. Also got a Flounder which just beat the legal length of 25cm. A YellowFin bream which was 27cm then a family friend took a Yellowtail (dont know why) but yea. Also got some little Sand Whiting, but a bit to small so we let them go. We caught the fish on fresh prawns from hawkesbury. Over all the day was great and fun. Thanks. -Luke oops. just realised i put in the wrong thread. if someone could move it, that would be great
