did anyone else fish brisbane waters this weekend if so how did use go.

gday raiders. Went out yesterday morning in hope to get some nippers after about half an hour of that and maybe on like 15 nippers my pump shit its self owell plan b had an esky full of bonito and pilles. The weather was perfect, even seemed to perfect the water was so clear it seemed nothing wanted to play. All in all i got 3 pinkies around the 25cm mark which i was fairly suprised a few small tailor and a couple of bream. All were realesed bar 1 bream which measured 27cm. Hope for some other raiders had more luck then i did. Cheers bergo.

hey guys headed out to brisbane waters with my little brother yesterday. armed up with hawksbury prawns and pillies. first of all headed out to lion island for lots of tailer average between 30-40cm. good fun on 6lb mono. and also a few small pinkies a couple where just under legal. anyway after a good 2 hours we decide to head back in to hopefully pick up a few flatties, bream and whiting for a feed. started my first drift and after about 5mins i got a solid bite i struck and i was on. i knew this was a nice fish with good wait. not to much of a fight untill about 2-3 meters from the boat then an absolutely massive run the little slade starts screaming. after a just over 5 min battle up comes this beautiful 70cm 2.5kg flattie. which is a new pb for me. we kept drifting for another 3 hours for 1 keeper bream at 27cm. and plenty of little pinkies. anyway an all out good day apart from the savage sunburn. cheers Bergo

is there any of the stickers that have fish legal size and stuff with a measurement on them. like that have fishraider on them.

caught a nice 35cm bream yesterday and thought i would give filleting it ago for the first time. i got two nice fillets off but still got some bones is that normal. i dont really know what im doin would someone be able to post up a pic and just explain the best way to skin and fillet the fish cheers Bergo

gday raiders, i am having a few problems catching fish in the hawksbury. i have been out on the boat 3-4 times over the holidays and have literelly got nothing worth writing about. i got the 5 or so tiny pinkies each time and that is it. im fishing brooklyn up to about patonga. i am using hawksbury prawns and bottle squid. then i go to brisbane waters and i get a nice little feed every time. using prawns and squid. can anyone give me any advice. cheers Bergo

im gussing t-grip is better. i only bought mine how it is. i have not done anything to it so if you decide to get one then maybe they may have the t-grip.

hey mate i had a look on the shimano website and they only have a flat handle. i just went and has a look and mine has a T-grip.

i have a shimano slade 2500 bout $70 depending where you get it from. but its a beautiful little reel. there is also the sienna which is next up which from memory is i think bout $90. hope this helps. cheers Bergo
