  4. gday raiders headed out around saturday lunch time for an arvo fish. Left around 1130 as i had to work saturday morning. Anyway the weather was trashed lil bergo and i decided lets go try lion island we headed out and my poor little 399 proline was getting smashed. We stayed out there for around 4 hours with getting a just legal bream a just legal flatty and a few small tailor. Around 330 decided to head back in. We anchor up at our second spot and start a nice solid burley trail. Started catching little tailor once again although persisted through them till just after dark and hook onto a feisty 60cm tailor. We then pulled in a nice 30cm flounder which was kept then a just on legal flatty which was released. Considering going home then my line gets thumped. After abit of a fight up comes my maiden jew which only measured 38cm only a soapie but its always good to get off the mark. Only fish kept were the big tailor and flounder. Cheers bergo

  10. Gday raiders headed out yesterday with me old man and lil bergo. aiming to fish the outgoing tide for some flattys. put in at parsley bay at 830am aiming for the 930 high tide. We got a nice burley trail happening within 15-20 mins we were into the small tailor. About 2 hours after the high tide my old man picked up a beautiful 75cm flatty weighing 2.2kg. Followed by a 51cm flatty about 45mins later. Anyway the spot started to die down so we thought we would move tland try a completely different spot. First bait down got nailed by a solid 50cm tailor. Dan the pull hard cant wait to get one bigger. After 2 hours there that is all we got so we thought we would try somewhere else. Dropped down a few baits then BANG my old mans reel is screaming after a good fight we boat an awesome 60cm salmon weighing 2.5 kg. Stayed for a lil longer and left on the bottom of the tide. Poor lil bergo cant get a break. I have had my boat for 5 months and he comes on the boat every weekend and he hasnt caught a fish over 45cm. My old man has come 3 times and caught the 2 flattys and the fat salmon. I will add pics later. Cheers bergo

  16. Gday raiders thought i would go for a lazy arvo/night fish with lil bergo last night. we got out to the spot at about 4:30 targeting flatties it all started off well picking up a nice little 43cm flatty. then we got done by every peice of S#*T you could imagine eels, catfish and toadfish. it was about 8:30 and considering wether to go or not and then I get a touch on my bait. i feel him take it and there is lots of weight. i thought straight away no way not another toadfish. then i felt those distinctive head shakes and i called flatty straight away. with a good struggle and line getting pulled i see this baby floating up. a nice 71cm flatty. it weighed just over 2kg. i will post some pics soon just dont have my camera on me. thanks for reading Bergo.
  17. Gday raiders sorry bout the late post. but Lil Bergo and I headed out on saturday morning was on the water around 830 to fish the outgoing tide. We were using fresh bonito. we were getting smacked by tailor the whole time. we only got to keepers. my brother and i were both sitting there discussing wether it was worth staying or not then suddenly the reel starts screaming with big head shakes. the rod was bouncing around like crazy. after about 5 mins my brother pulls in the nice fat P.B bream. it went 38cM and weighed just under a KG. then bout 10mins later we pull up this nice flatty. all in all it was a good days fishing with a nice feed and good company. thanks to brickman for the fresh bonito and the advice on the spot. cheers Bergo
