  1. we have the same motor and to start ours, I always lift the throttle all the way up then push the choke in as I turn the key and leave the choke in until it starts. works every time..

maybe your just not leaving the choke on for long enough..

  2. hi mate, its a very quiet time of year on the beaches. your best bet would be to take some pilchards down to wamberal beach an hour before dark and try to catch a few salmon..

if you get a high tide around dark and find a nice deep gutter or hole and berley with some pilchards you will get something..

  3. it all depends on how young the kids are, but i have a 3 and a 5 year old and they cant get enough of collecting yabbies.

its also a good idea if you can fish of the yabby bank. they can run around and get dirty and when you hook a fish get the kids to wind it in..but the most import part is FOOD, take heaps....

  4. have you checked your propellar? when you say that it travels ok at a walking pace but when you try to go faster,

does it just rev louder and not go any quicker?? if so it could be your propellar bush has failed..and you need a new one..:1fishing1:

ps. if it is your prop, the motor should rev fine out of the water. but when it is in the water the reristance on the prop causes it to fail..

  5. i have been fishing around wobby before and watched as a family put 3 traps in the main channel where their is loads of current and all of their traps instantly drifted down

stream while they powered off in the opposite direction.(not saying that you did this )but it depends on how strond the current is..:1fishing1:

  6. Hi Mate,

I didnt notice any EGGS mate, however, heard from some local fishos they are spawning.

How long does the spawning run last mate? They seem to be hitting baits with more agression than a month ago

    Butch

we fluked some on the weekend and they were full of eggs but i dont know how long they spawn for, i was hoping you might know..:1fishing1:

  7. its easy buddy just fillet the fish(trevally, yellowtail, bonito, tuna, slimys)

use a piece of plywood or something underneath so you dont get juice seeping away

get an old newspaper lay on wood

add a layer of butchers salt about 5-10mm on paper

place fish skin side down on paper

add a layer of salt on top about10-20mm thick depending on thickness of fillet(more salt for thick fish)

leave alone for 2-3 days or until you remember them.lol

dust off salt and place in zip lock bags.

now the fillets will last for over a year if you dont use them before that..

good luck, its real easy..cheers stevo..:1fishing1:
