  3. Austral,

I am running My 15k training route in around 76 min on a good day, so I figure that allowing for dodging & trampling of the crowd, I might be able to do a around 76min.

Trouble is, as a late entrant & with no previous recognised times, I am starting in the yellow - the second last group to go. that'll make it interesting!

youll be ok, we ran in the blue section and after we finished we went over to watch out for the girlfriends and there were plenty of

yellows overtaking the blues..all youll be doing is dodging the slower racers. the footpaths are sometimes a better option..

    good luck

  4. i would also like to thank you for keeping us all updated on a day to day basis and the infomation you give out is more than you have to give. i have not ventured in to game fishing yet but thanks too all the info and updates you give, my fishing diary/calender is ready for the next few seasons..

also if i decide to go on a charter you will be the only choice..:1fishing1:

  5. One of the cage type traps works a treat, looks like a small possum trap. I had problems after a neighbour cleared out a very overgrown garden a few years ago. Must have caught 10 before i got rid of them. Once in the trap just drop the whole trap into a bucket of water until the rat drowns and tip it into a rubbish bag and in to the bin.

    +1:thumbup:

  6. my 15hp yamaha 4 stroke gets flooded very easily, it will start for 10-30 sec then cut out. the best way around it is to start it at home before you go and have it running for 5-10minutes just to make sure everything if running ok..

when the motor floods you can usually smell the fuel and see straight fuel running out a small hole just under the cowling.

if your stuck out there again disconect the fuel line and try to start it a few times( this helps drain the excess fuel)and when it does start

up make sure you put the motor in gear and start moving before you re connect the fuel(other wise it will just flood again).

    hope this helps..:1fishing1:

  7. Gooday Raiders

I went fishing today for flathead throwing some lures around unfortunately didnt get any fish.As I dont lure fish that often and am not familiar with all the characteristics of my new rod can someone tell me what the maximum lure weight rating would be for this rod.I dont want to overload the rod with a heavy lure.Today I was using squidgies between 6 and 10 grams and it felt okay.Your thoughts would be much appreciated.I am sure a lot of you own the same rod.I coudnt find any information on the Pflueger website in regards to this.

    Cheers Steve

hi buddy, i have 3 of those rods and regulary enjoy throwing 20g raiders at mack tuna, salmon and tailor..

you can also throw around 2-3g bream lures no worries..

i have found that when using the 20g lures its better to have 6lb braid and use the 4ib for the bream.

    good luck and have fun.cheers..austral
