there are some dopes out there i purchased a brand new boat with a 60 ltr under floor tank when i picked it up the axil was way to far forward the bimini would not fold up all easily fixed but what took the cake there was no fuel gauge when i went back a week later to pick it up he had the hide to give me a bill for the gauge and installing it saying i did'nt order it well having a very dry sence off humer i said i'll pay the bill if you give me a refund on the stick what stick he said, the one i would need to check the fuel level he just didn't see the funny side and realy insisted i pay the bill a quick quote reminding him off his duty off care and he stormed off saying just piss off i couldn't help my self and just kept saying what am i supost to do with this stick now the tree won't take it back

Austral,
I am running My 15k training route in around 76 min on a good day, so I figure that allowing for dodging & trampling of the crowd, I might be able to do a around 76min.
Trouble is, as a late entrant & with no previous recognised times, I am starting in the yellow - the second last group to go. that'll make it interesting!
youll be ok, we ran in the blue section and after we finished we went over to watch out for the girlfriends and there were plenty of
yellows overtaking the blues..all youll be doing is dodging the slower racers. the footpaths are sometimes a better option..
good luck

hi mate, i ran it last year and finished in 1hr 15min, i cant do it this year though.

just get a $10 one from target with 30m water resistant. they have lasted me over 3 years so far..

i would also like to thank you for keeping us all updated on a day to day basis and the infomation you give out is more than you have to give. i have not ventured in to game fishing yet but thanks too all the info and updates you give, my fishing diary/calender is ready for the next few seasons..
also if i decide to go on a charter you will be the only choice..
-
you might have started a bit late mate, ideally you should have rods in the water at first light 630.
its only an hour but that should be the best hour of the morning..
-
hi mate, its been too rough to get out there and have a look, i cant wait till they are on again..

One of the cage type traps works a treat, looks like a small possum trap. I had problems after a neighbour cleared out a very overgrown garden a few years ago. Must have caught 10 before i got rid of them. Once in the trap just drop the whole trap into a bucket of water until the rat drowns and tip it into a rubbish bag and in to the bin.

my 15hp yamaha 4 stroke gets flooded very easily, it will start for 10-30 sec then cut out. the best way around it is to start it at home before you go and have it running for 5-10minutes just to make sure everything if running ok..
when the motor floods you can usually smell the fuel and see straight fuel running out a small hole just under the cowling.
if your stuck out there again disconect the fuel line and try to start it a few times( this helps drain the excess fuel)and when it does start
up make sure you put the motor in gear and start moving before you re connect the fuel(other wise it will just flood again).
hope this helps..

their a real pain at terrigal boat ramp too, they just dont seem to understand that boats need too come back in
and its not the smartest idea to form a circle and have a half hour chat 20m off the ramp and the beach:ranting2:
-
id say it depends on the area your in but about 20-30km would be a starting point:1fishing1:
-
nice catch:1fishing1:
-
it depends on how far you tow your trailer, if the ramp is only around the corner then every couple of years should be ok. but if your
driving a fair way or regularly take long trips away then every year is advisable..

Gooday Raiders
I went fishing today for flathead throwing some lures around unfortunately didnt get any fish.As I dont lure fish that often and am not familiar with all the characteristics of my new rod can someone tell me what the maximum lure weight rating would be for this rod.I dont want to overload the rod with a heavy lure.Today I was using squidgies between 6 and 10 grams and it felt okay.Your thoughts would be much appreciated.I am sure a lot of you own the same rod.I coudnt find any information on the Pflueger website in regards to this.
Cheers Steve
hi buddy, i have 3 of those rods and regulary enjoy throwing 20g raiders at mack tuna, salmon and tailor..
you can also throw around 2-3g bream lures no worries..
i have found that when using the 20g lures its better to have 6lb braid and use the 4ib for the bream.
good luck and have fun.cheers..austral
