hello all, its been a few years since ive been prawning and im going to take my son out with me for a few hours..
what stage of tide is the best? the first hour or so, mid tide or close to the bottom??
because my son is only 4 i cant really stay out for the whole tide so id like to take him around the peak time..
i will either be out in the boat over the weed beds or walking around the shoreline..
thanks heaps..stevo..

hey buddy, if there on the surface you need to use 20g raiders and spin as fast as possible toget the lure up and just under the surface and when you see the fish chase it and is really close STOP the lure and thats when theyll hit it.. good luck

check the price of a new one first..try ( solas)

burley with bread and or fish pieces, 6lb handline with size 6-8 hook, i small split shot crimped about 6in up the line.
for bait use yellowtail strips, squid or anything really. but if using pilchards try the stomach its pretty tough and lasts for a few fish.
throw out about 3-4 meters of line and adjust length according to depth or numbers of fish seen.

if you can get your mate to drive and try and sit at the back of the boat that should help..

Thanks for the read Donna, lets hope this gets finished and is used properly.
Personally not a fan of the NBN, I would've liked to have seen the money used to fix our hospitals, roads etc etc.
+1

we had the same sort of problem on dads boat (haines 17L) but we went the quick fix and just used some silicone.
ill be interested in what you find for your boat as the silicone doesnt really last.. good luck..stevo..
