  11. it shits me to death too, especially for bream. good on you for having the balls to confront him about it. i confronted 2 guys and their girlfriends about them keeping 10cm breams at apple tree bay. and their reply was "i have been doing alot of illegal stuff lately" i wanted to kick all their stuff right off the pontoon.
  12. i just bought a Daiwa Tierra 2500 just then
  13. Hi there, I am in the market for a new reel and i ask for your opinions on what is good and waht i should be looking for. what i want is a Daiwa Sol 2500, but i am having a hard time justifying $260-$350 on a reel.(seeing as i still haven't caught anything legal to keep yet) it will be going on my "Bream rod" which is a Shimano "matchline" 6'6" spin rod. are there any reel that come close to the Daiwa but for a bit less money? As a rough guide i want to only spend about $150 max on this reel. I like the 2500 size as i hear thats good for Bream, and i will be putting 6 or 8 lb fireline on it. But i am open (of course) to your opinions on what would be a good setup for catching bream or maybe even blackfish if i get a reel with another spool so i can put different line on it. Any thoughts? Cheers in advance, Richard
  14. im sure google image search will help you.
  15. what are we using the squid ink for?
  16. will do thanks i found some what appears to be at least 30lb mono on a hand reeel from when i had a kite, haha my new leader
  17. i will be buying whole pilchards for bait and a few whole squids, but i will try to get some yakkas when im there. do you think i am going about this all wrong by not having proper leaders? how easily will fish bite though the .28mm 15lb mono? is it worth me buying a small reel of something like 20lb flurocarbon or braid so i can use that as leaders?
  18. Hello there, I am hiring a boat tomorrow morning from bobbin head marina to go fishing all day. As this is my first boat based fishing trip, i ask if you have any places around that area that i could try. i am easy on what i catch, but i would like some good size flatheads and anything else that could feed us for a night. i dont have the best gear,eg, i dont have braided line, daiwa reels etc. but the strongest line i have is 15lb mono, so i doubt i will be able to haul in any jewfish. but a kingfish would make my day (its my 22nd birthday) do you have any tips for me on where to go in that area? Also, as i have never fished from a boat before, do i still use long leaders and running sinkers? i intend on using 1M leader of 15lb mono to a swivel and then a running sinker on my 15lb main line. cheers, Richard
