Fishing down at lake conjola over the Xmas holidays and wondering if any body has any info on whether the lake was open to the ocean at the moment ?

yeah a bull shark , i had the same thing happen about this time last year 1 morning fishing the vines . scared the crap out of us being only about 10 metres from the boat and it was huge ,it left a massive hole in the water and put the fishing right off the bite

cheers johnds thats good news mate conjola is my favourite place to holiday with family and friends.Ill be buzzing around in my 420 quintrex fish seeker its got a jewie on the side , i might catch you blokes on the water . hopefully the fish come out to play .

thanks for this report poddy trapper , i holiday at conjola every xmas camping at the lake side caravan park , fingers crossed that the lake is open by boxing day , it does look rather dirty , 1 advantage is it might be easier 2 get the boat in to berringer lake with the higher water . just wondering if you happened 2 see if the lake side park was flooded aswell (the last park before the lake widens into the main body ) but you probly know that being kind of a local .thaks again for your report . cheers Aaron

ha ha yep numb ray my little bro caught one on a 4 inch gulp minnow near towra point very weird indeeedy

mate i holiday at lake conjola every xmas and have had some great results on the flathead , big mummas to , i found for best results try catching some live poddy mullet over the sand flats then simply drift the main channel or the drop offs at the steps . these are croc sized flathead areas so id sugest a fairly heavy leader as i lost a monster at xmas at the boat due to big head shakes and a lightish leader. good luck hope this helps

Hi raiders just wondering if any body knows what time the little bait shop opens near the pub on brooklyn rd at brooklyn ? im fishing the hawksbury river this sunday for the pirtek comp ,and would like to hit the water an hour before high tide , for a chance of a bonus jewie .Good luck to anyone in the comp and if your fishing the hawksbury and see 3 blokes in a 420 fish seeker with jew fish stickers on it, that will be me so come say hi cheers and tight lines

thats a cracker shame you didnt measure it definately afish of a life time well done was it caught in swansea channel if u dont mind me asking ? im spending a couple of days up there at easter and hope to find a few flatties , one can only dream of a fish that size well done again

the penn applause 2000 are great for the $ ive been getting kings up to 60cm in botany using one with 8lb fireline and it handles them no probs .very smooth will not disapoint
