Nice to see your misses and mother in law having a good time chasing kings. I have the same struggles lol... They just don't get it! Or are we wrong?? Don't know but hate getting fights over my passion. Funny how they like the bait fishing more though. And on ya on finding a legal:thumbup:. We did pretty well in the harbour today aswell

Use to catch +50 cm models down below Penrith weir (Landbased), on small raplas. They have some pulling power for a little fish

Nice one Drew, It always seems when the king are around the bait isn't and vise versa. Always fun to hook up on plastics
-
Awesome catch mate. Always wondered if they were in that system.
-
Same for me ZILCH in the harbour this season. But managed 16+ fish in Botany, only 2 legals. All caught on squid and anchored

Nice fish:thumbup:

Good on ya Andrew, finding the fish once again. Twice checked by maritime that's just a laugh. Are there any signs of the harbour heating up yet? Went botany today and the water temp got upto 24 deggress on the incoming tide
-
Same at botany bay. Incoming tide was warmer than usual
-
Its been harder lately in the bay. Got 15+ yellowtail and tried molinex point for not even a touch. Decided to try squiddin again, only managed one. As soon as the squid hit mid water, the rats were on. Good effort on finding a couple:thumbup:

Nice fish mate. Did you get them in all one session??

On ya for battling the conditions

Good work, hopefully the hoodies show up soon

Well done!. Being able to find a NUMBER OF SQUID IN THE BAY as that seeems to be harder to do than find the kings at the moment . Not many squid have been there of late for me at least .
different jigs... my fav jigs didn't work on that day

They are definitely there at the moment. We had a ripper session a couple of days ago

Nice one mate cant complain about that, seems there was a lot of raiders out on wednesday, you guys were the ones in the quintrex that had problems? was going to ask if you guys needed a tow back but figured you were waiting for someone then i saw the coppers giving you a hand before we decided to head back in.
Yeah that was us (Starter motor went)lol notice you had the same motor. You guys have much luck? Wouldnt ask anyone for a tow while your in the middle of fishing. Wasnt life or death situation

Yeah the big southerly winds a few days ago have put them off. Also caught them on unusual jigs, by that i mean our usual favorite jigs didn't work at all and the jigs we hardly ever use did the damage this time

G`day raiders after some tough times fishing in the harbour I have been hitting Botany to see if the kings are on the chew.
And botany has produced once again. Will admit (personally) this year if you want size in your kings hit the harbour, on the other hand if its numbers you want hit the Bay.
To put a long story short we picked up our squid in an hour with only 4, not bad considering it was an 8 o`clock start. Motored to the car parkand dropped our baits. In the end we captured 12 or so kings (lost count) most being rats and a couple legals, biggest going 76cm. Also hooked some rats on sluggos using 5lb braid which was fun. Tightlines
