gday,looking 2 buy a new 2nd hand boat ,ive been looking at the haines hunter range,but im unsure of all the model types,if any one knows what the letters stand for these boats could u please tell me,550C,19R ,17 L,580 SL,520SF,19VC,600BR,i know the numbers are length and guessing BR is bowrider,C is cuddy maybe ,wouldnt have a clue with the others ,and do all the haines hunters handle well in rough weather or is there a stand out model, thanks in advance shane

gday,great report ,i also caught my first king this month,caught on a tsnami 4 inch mullet shad,i was using my kmart speacial penn silver series 3kg rod and 2000 reel,holy #$%^ i thought the rod was going 2 snap,it only went 58 cm released,i thought salmon went hard on light gear ,nothing on the kings,would love 2 catch a 80cm,but might have upgrade the gear i think,cheers shane

mate why dont u tie ur line 2 a stick or bone and throw it 2 ur dog,if ur that desperate,everyone goes through dry spells,but cmon mate ,lift ur standards,stingers ,pulling in weed rates higher than stingers,hopefully youll snap out of it soon and get back 2 concentrating on catching fish

gday, amart sports store have wilson rods for half price,i picked up a fsu 5120 overhead and a fsu 5120 spin for $50 each ,these rods are excellent for chasing jew of the beach or livebaiting of the rocks they retail in freddys for $169,they also have tld 15,20 for $179 which is very cheap,heaps of other bargains 2.the would kill me if she knew how much ive spent 2day,get in quick theres not many left

gday,the thing that really gets under my skin is that so many anglers practice c&r nowadays,2 help fish stocks,the fisheries crack down on bag limits and undersized fish,while netters pretty much take what they want ,2 me something just aint right we are catch and releasing fish so these #$%^s can make quick dollar, really its the governments fault for allowing it ,something has 2 be done very soon ,maybe start a petiton ,anyone got any ideas how 2 stop this raping of our fishing stocks,and no we cant blow up there boats

hi all,i was just reading the nov endition of fishing world when i came across a story that made me feel the report was of 6 tonnes of jewfish had been netted in the shoalhaven river,with the average at 20 kg ,this equates to 300 prized specimens,the fished where sold for a paltry $6 a kg.could someone tell me how the rec fishing license works ,i thought they stopped commercial netters,and do these greedy cretins work all estuary systems,reports like this hardly make me feel like going and wetting a line ,300, 20 kg fish in 1 night ,surely would have made a very significant impact on the much prized jewfish.

been getting a few schoolies off the local beaches,the salmon r at plauge proportions,with huge schools chasing bait fish into the beach gutters,anyhow,if theres schoolies around the big ones wont b far off,and i think there would b 2 or 1 silly unhappy fisherman out there ,as i found 2 sets of clean gangs lodged in her gut thanks hopefully ill b posting a 50 pound soon

gday,buying a boat is a hard decision with so many options out there,try checking out ur local boatyards ,2 give u an idea of what u want,when u find 1,`if private sale make sure u take it somewhere 2 get motor checked out dont take someones word that the motor is a1 mechanically,i think the most important thing in buying a boat is 2 b patient ,dont jump on the first 1 that catches ur eye look around ,and make sure u get it checked out cheers

hi all,i recently bought my first boat a few months ago,thats when the problems started ,so the says ,the problem is i cant get enough of it,all i can think about is fishing and my boat,as im writing this i found myself staring at my pride and joy in lust without realising it ,ive had more sick days in the last three months than my whole working career,even when im at work i find myself daydreaming about heading out in the blue yonder ,some days i pray for 30 knot winds just so ican go to work and earn a crust,i even heard my kids laughing behind my back saying "daddys got a new wife".i want 2 know if these conditions r common amongst boat owners, and does the obsession subside with time, or is it an uncurable disease .
