  3. Great work scratchie. Kings on chicken no suprise to me. I scored a 75cm model a few years back on chicken gut shore based in Balmain.... that was definitely a pleasant suprise. Cheers Daniel Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk
  4. Congratulations on your baby girl. My youngest girl was also born on April 24th Easter Sunday in 2011. Definitely life changing so enjoy cause they grow up real quick. Good effort on the fish. The bay can be very hard at times especially as the water starts to cool but perseverance paid off for you. Cheers Daniel
  5. I normally just weave it on like a strip of mullet. Pull first one through completely so the bait sits above the eye of the hook, helps keep it not balling up, then just continue to weave on till hook is covered.I keep some cotton string handy to wrap around bait if it gets on the soft side. Cheers
  6. Thanks Neil.I normally buy whole chicken breast and cut thin strips big enough to cover a size 1 to 1/0 bait holder hook. Then coat generously with grated parmesan. I even add a little garlic powder for extra kick hehe. I try not to freeze as i find when thowed they tend to get mushy. I'll prepare the night before and store in the fridge. Hope this helps. Cheers Dani4
  7. Hey Tony. Yeah i can't complain coming home with a decent feed. How those snapper coming.
  8. Hi Mate. Did come down heavy a few times. Did you have much luck? We where fishing near Towra. Ch
  9. I'd have to agree it has definitely improved. I do remember as a kid way before they built the third runway we used to walk all the way to the end of the old runway pump nippers and catch some thumping fish.
  10. Thanks mate. I've noticed the bay seems to fire well when mother nature ain't to good. I did score a 50cm snapper last year and a 35cm last week so you might be right. Cheers
  11. Thanks mate.Always happy to meet fellow raiders. I'll keep you posted.
  12. Thanks Sam.Nothing like fresh fish.
  13. Thanks sgtbundy. Being Italian the smell of garlic and parmasen doesn't bother me hehe.
  14. Thanks mate.Water is improving. I was out again on saturday and much better.
  15. Hi guys. This is my third crack at the bay since Anzac Day and i must say im quite pleased. Was on the water by 7am and soaking baits by 7.30am. Baits of choice Chicken parmy, prawns and pillies. Chicken did most of the damage. Conditions were great, the wind predicted was no where to be seen. Light gear and a steady burley trail saw an end result of 13 trevally, 3 bream one going 36cm and fat as, 1 tarwhine, a 40cm Flatty, a snapper and a salmon around 60cm. We did drop a few beauties which seemed a tad too tough for our light gear but heaps of fun. We were threatened with a few storm fronts early avo which left as quick as they arrived. We also spotted a few lazy seals lazing around I must say quite impressed with our recent visits to the Bay, hopefully it continues. Sorry guys only a few pics Cheers Daniel
  16. Thanks Brendan.Any day on the water is great. Cheers
  17. Thanks Ryder.Yeah nothing beats fresh bait. I did hook a few tailor on the tailor bait. Bloody cannibals lol.
  18. Thanks mate.I love using chicken and parmy i even throw in a little garlic sometimes smells real good lol. I find it works really well after some rain when the water is a little murky. I sometimes also use a little cotton string to wrap around the chicken once on the hook just helps keep it there. I've done really well with it around boat moorings real lite gear hardley any weight. The big bream go made over it. Good luck mate. Let us know how you go with it.
  19. Thanks jewdreamer. Did get a little we but all worth it.
  20. Hi guys With work called off due to the rain what else could i do today. Called the old man and by 7am we were on the water. Baits used salted pillies, prawns and parmy chicken strips. Rain and more rain fell as the southerly started to pick up a little momentum. Not enough to deter us though. We fished the run out till noon for a score of 3 bream, 8 trevally, 1 sanpper and a lonely occy. Not a bad few hours for a nice feed. Better then work any day. Cheers Daniel
  21. Hi Raiders been some time since my last post mainly due to lack of fishing. Anyways hit BB on saturday we were on the water by 6am. Water was quite dirty which we were expecting. Plan was to fish the last of the run out and then the run in. we concentrated our efforts around molli which at one point looked like a boat yard lol. With the burley going strong we set out our baits which consisted of salted pillies, squid, chicken and fresh tailor. Fresh tailor did most of the damage with a result of 5 bream, 2 around 35cm, 4 tailor to 45cm, a lone salmon and around 10 or so trevally. We did lose some solid fish to bust offs and slipped hooks. Off the water by 1pm just as the storm was brewing on the horizon. All in all a great day, conditions were great and a mixed bag of fresh fish. sorry no pics. Cheers Dan
  22. What a great day out. Top job fellas. It's amazing how different the fishing can be from day to day in the same areas. Cheers Daniel
